FIRE-GUARD Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) is a circuit breaker that provides protection from fires caused by arcing faults. Arcing faults can occur when insulation around cords, wires or cables is damaged or deteriorated. AFCIs are required in bedroom circuits for new construction per the 2005 National Electrical Code.

Eaton Fire-Guard 1-Pole AFCI Circuit breaker features thermal magnetic molded case for extra protection. Circuit breaker has current rating of 15 Amps and voltage rating of 120/240 VAC. It has AIC rating of 10 kilo-Amps. It accommodates copper/aluminum wires of size 14 - 4 AWG. It operates at a temperature of 60 or 75 deg C. Circuit breaker minimizes parallel arcing faults in the complete circuit that includes cords for easy connection.

The 1-Phase Circuit breaker measures 3.000 Inch x 4.750 Inch x 1.250 Inch. It features standard interrupting capacity and uses plug-on mounting to hold firmly. It has reliable lug terminal connection and offers long-time instantaneous trip to offer superior performance. It is ideal for load center applications and protects wiring from overheating or short-circuits. Circuit breaker meets UL standards.
